What's my car actually worth with high mileage?
Mileage matters, but not as much as people fear. Past roughly 100,000 miles the curve flattens — condition, service records and how common your model is locally start to matter more than the odometer. We price against cars with similar mileage in your ZIP, not a national average.
Why is the dealer's trade-in offer so much lower than the listed price?
A dealer has to recondition, advertise, floor-plan and eventually sell your car, and carry the risk it sits. That spread is usually 15–25%. It isn't a lowball so much as the cost of convenience — which is exactly why we show trade-in, private sale and retail side by side.
Does a salvage or rebuilt title kill the value?
It reduces it, typically 20–40%, but it doesn't make the car unsellable. Rebuilt titles sell every day to buyers who care more about price than paperwork. Tell us up front and the estimate reflects it — hiding it just wastes everyone's time at inspection.
How is this different from Kelley Blue Book or Edmunds?

What do trade-in, private sale and retail actually mean?
Trade-in is what a dealer hands you against another car. Private sale is what a buyer pays you directly. Retail is what that same car wears on a dealer lot after reconditioning. Same vehicle, three very different numbers.
I still owe money on it — can I sell or trade it?
Yes. If the car is worth more than the payoff, the difference is yours. If it's worth less, you're upside down and you'd need to cover the gap or roll it into a new loan. Get the payoff figure from your lender before you commit either way.
How accurate is the estimate?
It's a market estimate, not an appraisal. Accuracy depends on how many comparable cars are listed near you — a common sedan in a big metro prices tightly; a rare trim in a small market has a wider range. We show you the comparables so you can judge for yourself.
Do modifications add value?
Almost never dollar for dollar, and often they narrow your buyer pool. Wheels, tunes and lift kits appeal to a specific buyer and put off everyone else. Tasteful, reversible and well-documented is the version that hurts least.
Does this work in Canada?
